Mendon, MA: Bring the family for some “fun on the farm” at the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Tourism Association’s Fall Family Festival and Craft Fair. Festival admission is free! 

The fifth annual fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19 across the street from Southwick’s Zoo, Mendon, MA. Rain date is Sunday Oct. 20 from noon to 4 p.m. This event, which features a variety of demonstrations, exhibits, vendors and food concessions, boasts attendance of several thousand people. 

“The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Tourism Association is excited to once again host the Blackstone Valley Fall Family Festival and Craft Fair,’’ said tourism association co-chairs Martha Wetzel and Michelle Fontaine. “Agriculture plays a vital role in the history and economy of the Blackstone Valley, and we are happy to give people a chance to sample what our local farms have to offer. For the fifth year, we decided to keep this premiere one-day agricultural festival free so everyone can come out and have a fun, relaxing day celebrating the Valley’s agricultural tradition.’’

The Brewer family, owners of Southwick’s Zoo, located at 2 Southwick St. in Mendon, MA, said “We are very happy to offer the area right outside the entrance to Southwick’s Zoo for the 4th Blackstone Valley Fall Family Festival and Craft Fair. We feel this is a win-win for Tourism, the Zoo and everyone who participates and attends.”
